Hydraulic coupling is a hydraulic transmission device composed of a pump wheel and a turbine. It plays the role of connecting the power machine and the transmission device, so it is also called the hydraulic coupling. It consists of two main parts: the fixed speed pump wheel and the driving shaft fixed on the driven shaft of the turbine. There is no mechanical connection between the wheel and the 3~15 millimeter gap will be separated from each other.
The pump wheel is connected with the output shaft of the motor and rotates together. When the working fluid in the pump wheel is subjected to the energy given by the pump wheel blades, centrifugal force is generated, which forces the liquid to flow to the outer edge, thus increasing the speed and pressure of the working fluid. A turbine connected to a driven shaft is a driven element of a hydraulic coupling.
The fluid flowing from the pump wheel enters the turbine and impits its blades. At the same time, the liquid flow is forced to flow along the turbine blade, and the flow velocity decreases, and the liquid energy is transformed into the mechanical energy on the driven shaft of the coupler. When the liquid works on the turbine and reduces the energy, it returns to the pump wheel and absorbs energy.
When the turbine speed is the same as that of the pump wheel, the working fluid stops circulating and the energy transfer is stopped, so that the energy transmission between the pump wheel and the turbine is achieved.
A hydraulic coupler is a blade type transmission machine which uses liquid (turbine oil) as the working medium and uses the change of the kinetic energy of the liquid to transfer the energy. The prime mover rotates the pump wheel to drive the working liquid to rotate, input the energy, make the work of the liquid, make the liquid get a large rotational kinetic energy, and make the shaft motion at the same time.
