A turbine is a fan in the engine of an automobile or an aircraft. By blowing the fuel steam into the engine by using the exhaust gas to improve the engine's performance. A turbine is a rotating power machine that converts the energy of the working fluid into a mechanical work. It is one of the main components of an aeroengine, a gas turbine and a steam turbine.

Without changing the engine displacement, turbocharged engine can greatly improve the power and torque of the engine. Generally speaking, the power and torque of the turbocharger increased by 20% ~ 30%. On the other hand, turbocharging can improve the fuel economy of the car.

But turbocharging also has its drawback, which is the turbine hysteresis effect, because the turbine must start at a certain speed when the engine reaches a certain speed (about 2000rpm), followed by the increase of noise and exhaust heat caused by turbocharging. Besides, the components of turbocharged engine are often in a high temperature and large impact environment. Therefore, such engines have special requirements for oil. They must have good wear resistance, high temperature resistance, fast lubricating oil film, high oil film strength, good stability and low viscosity.
